Water Witch were delighted and proud to be nominated for the Family Business Awards which took place on Friday 28th October - the first time an event this scale to celebrate the achievements of Family Businesses has been held in the UK.

The 2005 Family Business Awards are designed to be a platform on which to showcase talent and reward those businesses whose contribution to the region has emerged as truly outstanding.

The judging panel looked at a wide range of areas including contribution to the economy, family dynamics, special achievements, environmental input and promotion of the region outside the UK.

The glittering Awards Dinner was held in Liverpool's St George's Hall - one of the finest neo-classical buildings in Europe. Our fingers were crossed, but unfortunately Water Witch missed out on winning an award by a whisker!

The event was an opportunity to celebrate our achievements and an acknowledgement of our important contribution as a business to the region.
