Water Witch on Television
May 24, 2005
Broadcast by National Geographic, this 14 episode international ocean adventure series travels the world to present the latest, strangest and coolest innovations in Maritime technology.
The production crew from Canadian television company Arcadia Media put aside two days to film a Water Witch vessel hard at work on the River Clyde and were delighted with the unusual vessel and her hard-working crew members, Iain and Alan.
Andrew Killawee, director commented "Throughout the Marine Machines Series, I have had the opportunity to witness technology that is changing how we think about the oceans and the world. 'Diggers' was unique however, in that the machines and technology have such practical simple purposes.

The best example of this would be the Water Witch vehicle used in Glasgow, Scotland, or the 'St. Mungo' as it is known by the locals. This vehicle skims up and down the River Clyde cleaning trash, trees, dead cows, and old appliances out of the River that was once an eyesore. The Head of the City Council explained to us how this machine was the backbone to the revitalization of a city.
